Arab Federation General Assembly Meeting Held in Bahrain During the 7th Arab Kowat Alrami Championship
The General Assembly meeting of the Arab Federation for Kowat Alrami and Self-Defense Sports – AFKA – was held on the sidelines of the 7th Arab Kowat Alrami Championship at 10:00 PM at the Swiss-Belhotel in Manama, Bahrain, on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
The meeting was chaired by the President of the Arab Federation, Professor Dr. Walid Kassas, with the attendance of delegates representing the national federations and committees from the following countries:
Lebanon, Tunisia, Palestine, Egypt, Bahrain, Iraq, Yemen, and Kuwait.
Representatives of Morocco, Algeria, Sudan, and Syria were absent.
With this, the legal quorum for the meeting was confirmed.
Opening Remarks and Agenda Approval
Professor Kassas opened the meeting by welcoming the attendees, thanking them for their valuable time and for participating in the 7th Arab Championship as well as the General Assembly and Executive Committee meetings.
The General Assembly agenda was approved as follows:
- Verification of quorum.
- Review of delegation authorization letters.
- Roll call of present members.
- Review of nomination letters submitted within the legal timeframe.
Nominations and Elections
A total of nine candidates submitted their nominations for membership in the Executive Committee:
Walid Kassas (Lebanon), Ramzi Mustafa (Tunisia), Nizar Taleb (Palestine), Mahmoud Al-Qalamouni (Egypt), Sayed Mahmood Yaseen (Bahrain), Yassin Al-Mashaan (Syria), Sabah Nouri Hassam (Iraq), Khaled Al-Ghilani (Yemen), and Mahmoud Al-Abdal (Kuwait).
After approving the legality of the nomination lists, the election results were as follows:
- Professor Dr. Walid Kassas – Lebanon
President of the AFKA - Dr. Ramzi Mustafa – Tunisia
Vice President - Dr. Nizar Sheikh Taleb – Palestine
Vice President - Dr. Mahmoud Al-Qalamouni – Egypt
Vice President - Mr. Sayed Mahmood Yaseen – Bahrain
Member - Mr. Yassin Al-Mashaan – Syria
Member - Mr. Sabah Nouri Jassam – Iraq
Member - Dr. Khaled Al-Ghilani – Yemen
Member - Mr. Mahmoud Al-Abdal – Kuwait
Member
The President of the Arab Federation will later appoint the:
Secretary-General, Assistant Secretary-General, and Treasurer.
Nominations for auxiliary committees were reviewed and approved, with finalized lists to be issued in the upcoming circular.
Closing of the Meeting
At the end of the meeting, Professor Kassas extended sincere thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom of Bahrain—its leadership and people—for their warm hospitality and excellent organization.
He also thanked the Bahrain Combat Sports Council and Mr. Sayed Mahmood Yaseen, Chairman of the Bahrain Kowat Alrami Committee, for hosting the 7th Arab Championship and the General Assembly meeting.
انعقاد اجتماع الجمعية العمومية للاتحاد العربي لرياضات قوة الرمي والدفاع عن النفس في البحرين
عُقد اجتماع الجمعية العمومية للاتحاد العربي لرياضات قوة الرمي والدفاع عن النفس على هامش البطولة العربية السابعة لرياضات قوة الرمي، وذلك في تمام الساعة العاشرة مساءً في فندق سويس بيل أوتيل في المنامة – البحرين، يوم الخميس الواقع في 13/11/2025.
ترأس الاجتماع رئيس الاتحاد العربي البروفسور الدكتور وليد قصاص، بحضور ممثلي الاتحادات واللجان من البلدان التالية:
لبنان – تونس – فلسطين – مصر – البحرين – العراق – اليمن – الكويت.
وتغيب ممثلو المغرب، الجزائر، السودان، وسوريا.
وبذلك اعتُبر النصاب القانوني مكتملاً لعقد الاجتماع.
كلمة الافتتاح وجدول الأعمال
استهلّ البروفسور وليد قصاص الاجتماع بالترحيب بالحضور وتوجيه الشكر لهم على وقتهم الثمين ومشاركتهم في البطولة العربية السابعة وفي اجتماعات الهيئة العامة والتنفيذية.
تم اعتماد جدول أعمال اجتماع الهيئة العامة وفق التسلسل التالي:
التأكد من اكتمال النصاب القانوني.
الاطلاع على كتب تفويض ممثلي البلدان.
المناداة على الحضور.
استعراض كتب الترشيحات التي وردت خلال المهلة القانونية.
قوائم الترشيحات والانتخابات
تقدم 9 أعضاء لعضوية اللجنة التنفيذية، وهم:
وليد قصاص (لبنان) – رمزي مصطفى (تونس) – نزار طالب (فلسطين) – محمود القلموني (مصر) – سيد محمود ياسين (البحرين) – ياسين المشعان (سوريا) – صباح نوري حسام (العراق) – خالد الغيلاني (اليمن) – محمود العبدال (الكويت).
بعد اعتماد قانونية قوائم الترشيحات، جاءت نتائج الانتخابات على الشكل التالي:

نائباً للرئيس - د. نزار الشيخ طالب – فلسطين
نائباً للرئيس - د. محمود القلموني – مصر

عضواً - أ. صباح نوري جسام – العراق
عضواً - د. خالد الغيلاني – اليمن

وسيتم لاحقاً قيام رئيس الاتحاد العربي بتسمية:
الأمين العام – الأمين العام المساعد – أمين الصندوق.
كما جرت دراسة الترشيحات المقدمة لعضوية اللجان المساعدة وتمت الموافقة عليها، على أن تُستكمل وترسل للجميع في التعميم القادم.
ختام الاجتماع
في ختام الاجتماع، توجه البروفسور وليد قصاص بالشكر والتقدير إلى مملكة البحرين حكومةً وشعباً، وإلى المجلس البحريني للألعاب القتالية، وإلى الأستاذ سيد محمود ياسين رئيس اللجنة البحرينية لرياضات قوة الرمي، على حسن التنظيم والاستقبال وعلى استضافة البطولة العربية السابعة واجتماع الجمعية العمومية.
