Training is not just a skill but a refined art that demands continuous learning and expertise. A WFKA qualified coach must possess in-depth knowledge and experience in KA combat sport (light contact – full contact) and is ranked 3rd “Fist” degree (and above) as well as being highly ranked in other disciplines, such as mastering kickboxing techniques (semi-contact, full contact, low kicks) and understanding arbitration rules.
An exceptional trainer guides athletes through each phase of development, ensuring progress with dedication and precision. Success in this field is achieved through commitment, reflecting the discipline and passion both trainer and athlete invest in the sport.
Grand Master DR. Walid Kassas
Athletes are awarded a certification as WFKA Trainers when they achieve 3rd degree "Fist" rankings and above. Starting with Trainer C which can train athletes locally in their respective countries.
Trainers who continue to progress beyond 3rd degree "Fist" rankings are able to apply for certification to become WFKA Trainer B, which allows them to train athletes continentally and can participate in regional degree events.
WFKA awards trainers who achieve 5th degree "Fist" rankings with the title "International A" which signifies their ability to train athletes and take part in degree events across the globe.
The WFKA holds ceremonial grading events annually for KA trainees to progress through the ranking system, and for KA athletes to evolve and elevate their degree status to 3rd “Fist” degree and above and become WFKA certified trainers. During the examination process the trainees and athletes demonstrate both their practical skills and knowledge to earn a degree or rank.
