Definition of "The World Federation of KOWAT ALRAMI & Self-Defense"
The World Federation of Kowat Alrami & Self-Defense (WFKA) is a leading global organization committed to promoting and advancing the art of Kowat Alrami and self-defense. We oversee and organize amateur competitions across various disciplines, including Forms, Self-Defense, and Light Contact for participants under 18, as well as Full Contact for male and female competitors over 18. In addition to competitions, the WFKA hosts annual grading ceremonies and skill tests, where athletes and trainees can rise through the ranks, progressing toward professional tournaments or earning certification as WFKA trainers. All results are carefully recorded, ensuring a clear path of advancement for every participant.

With a World Administration of 11 dedicated members, our executive board’s decision-making process is both democratic and strategic, ensuring that every action taken benefits the sport and its community. Our federation is committed to maintaining flexibility, allowing our members to collaborate freely with other global bodies.
Each year, W.F.K.A. hosts prestigious World, Intercontinental, European, Asian, African, and Arab Championships, with the participation of numerous countries and athletes. We also organize World Cups and Open Tournaments, all recognized by the IMGC (International Martial Arts Games Committee), the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees (UANOC), and featured in the Pan-Arab Sports Games

Consisting of 12 committees (Technical and Organizing Committee, Referees Committee, Coaches Committee, Media Committee, Medical Committee, Public Relations and Resource Development Committee, Professionalism Committee, Scientific Committee, Self-Defense Committee, Legal and Disciplinary Committee, and Women’s Committee), the WFKA aims to elevate the technical level of each aspect of the sport ensuring constant growth and evolution through these committees and their respective efforts.Our professional committees organize numerous events worldwide, providing athletes with opportunities to gain recognition on the global stage.
Global Expansion & Representation
W.F.K.A. is actively seeking to expand its global presence by partnering with new representatives worldwide. These representatives are entrusted with the exclusive right to award W.F.K.A. Degrees and Trainer Certificates within their respective countries. They also hold the authority to select and lead their teams in World and Continental Championships.
